H&B Communications is currently in contract discussions with AMC Networks, the parent company of AMC, WE tv, IFC and BBC America. Our existing agreement expires on December 31, 2015. AMC Networks is demanding a rate increase that is 350% more for the same exact networks, and are using the strength of AMC to push for higher rates and more subscribers for their less-popular channels, including BBC America, BBC World and Sundance Channel.

Although we are working to negotiate a fair price for these networks currently and after December 31, AMC Networks may turn off their networks or require us to remove all their channels until a new agreement is secured. Programming fees from Companies such as AMC account for the bulk of our customers’ monthly bills. Our goal is to protect our customers from significant programming fee increases.
