As the parent of a special needs child you have a lot on your mind. There are IEP meetings, counseling sessions, doctors visits, therapy appointments and the endless phone calls to insurance providers and DME’s. And then comes the everyday anxiety of wondering “is my child happy,” “am I doing my best to care for my child?” St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Mosaic are teaming up for SNaPS (Special Needs Parents’ Support). SNaPS is a new support group forming in Ellsworth, KS, for the puropose of supporting one another and sharing/learning about advocating for your child in school, with the doctors and every other aspect of life. Parents and other caregivers for children with physical disabilities, developmental disabilites and all other challenges are welcome. SNaPS will be facilitated by Pastor Jim Judson who will do so from a faith based perspective. Pastor Judson serves St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north Ellsworth, and is a special needs parent.

SNaPS will be holding its first meeting:
THURSDAY, FEB. 22 AT 7PM at the Mosaic building in downtown Ellsworth, (124 W. 3rd St.).

Please contact Pastor Judson (785-472-8912) for more information.
