The Smoky Hill River Chapter of Pheasants Forever is seeking youth hunters who have a desire to hunt white-tailed deer but have limited opportunity for its 2nd Annual Youth Mentored Deer Hunt. The hunt will be Jan. 9 and 10 and is open to youth from Ellsworth County between 12-16 years of age. Parent or guardian must accompany for an afternoon range session and the two day guided hunt. Instruction, rifles, ammunition, guided hunt, meals, processing and lodging provided at no cost to youth. Applications need submitted prior to Oct. 2, 2015.
